Help With Writing Assignment 25

This is a University wide initiative begun 5 years ago. Each book that is chosen to be read by the students, faculty and staff of the university is pertinent to our ever changing healthcare stage. Each book has a focus that is seen and dealt with in the primary care setting. All are grounded in the social, education, psychological and medical sciences and theories.

When you address the discussion topics of social justice, healthcare disparities, population health you will have one of these books or the current book as a support.

This is a changing assignment and is based on the current Community Reads book.

For the year 2019 – 2020 we are reading Dr. Nadine Burke-Harris’s book on ACES called The Deepest Well: Healing the Long Term Effects of Childhood Adversity. Dr. Burke-Harris is California’s first General Surgeon. Her work is extensive and amazing. You can view her talk at SMU on this link:

Her book is available in all formats for you to read.

Your assignment is to post a one page response that highlights how we as FNP Primary Care Providers can benefit from training in recognizing ACES in our populations and the long term benefits of preventive care.

The paper is in APA format with references.
